In my free time, I frequently indulge in my love for board games. This is why I am particular excited to have joined Hegemonic Project Games—a start-up board gaming company that has dedicated itself to designing games with educational value—as international relations expert and academic advisor for the new board game World Order.
The game blends academic theories with thrilling gameplay to simulate modern international relations. The players take control over one of four powers: the United States, Russia, China, or the European Union. Utilizing all the military, economic, and diplomatic tools of statecraft at their disposal, they seek to expand their influence across the globe to ultimately become the most powerful actor in the world.
In addition to my love for board games, I am a video game enthusiast with a particular passion for RogueLites (e.g., Hades), Metroidvanias (e.g., Hollow Knight), and Soulslikes (e.g., Elden Ring). I am also a competitive EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA) player.
In fact, I love all things sports. You will often find me cheering for my favorite teams—ACF Fiorentina and FC Schalke 04 (soccer), the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (CFB), the Chicago Bears (NFL), and the Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA)—or on the pickleball court.
